Field trip to the Killaclougher River


Representatives from the Western Fisheries Board took 3rd and 4th class on a field trip to our local river! It was very interesting and lots of fun. Some parents helped to transport the children and we met Kevin Crowley and his team at the river.

They caught lots of fish and kept them in the bucket for us to examine. They also took samples of living things like insects and mayfly from the river which we examined using microscopes.

It was a lovely day and we really enjoyed it!
