Eddie Lenihan

A famous story teller called Eddie Lenihan visited our class on Wednesday 20th February.He was telling us about weasels. He told us that if you do something bad to a weasel its family will get revenge. But if you do something to help it, it will do something to repay you. He told us 3 stories about weasels and all were very different. At the end he told us a horror story about two friends who were fighting and one of them died on Christmas day. One of them murdered the other one. Then no one would talk to him, so he committed suicide. He told us a story about a weasel that helped a man because the man helped the weasel. He was very good at telling stories and he was good at acting out the stories.

Aquarium comes to third and fourth class.

On the 21st of February 2008 a man called Gary from the Salthill Aquarium came to our school. He came to deliver an aquarium for our classroom. He brought with him a starfish, a butterfish, 2 cork wing wrasse, 3 hermit crabs, a mullet, 4 prawns and 2 flat fish. The mullet fish looks most like an ordinary fish.

We will have to look after the fish in our classroom until the Summer. We will feed the fish every day with squid and the starfish will eat muscles. When the starfish digests food you can see the food going into his stomach. The hermit crab hides from predators in his shell. The butterfish looks a lot like an eel.
