Gaelic Football

Every Friday we go to Gaelic to learn new skills and the rules. We all try very hard to play like the pros. We do a lot of fun drills and we all have fun. We play matches at the end.

Lisheen Kyle Visit Newcastle

The hurlers from Lisheen Kyle N.S. came to Newcastle. We had a hurling blitz where we mixed up the teams from both schools.

Swimming

This year 3rd and 4th class went swimming in the Raheen Woods Hotel. At 1 o' clock we went on the bus to Athenry. Miss Thorntan's first class came with us. We did it for one week. We all had great fun. We learnt lots of new things. There were two instructors called Gary and Lorraine. Sometimes we had to dive under water and get [round] rings. We were gone swimming for two hours every day.

Hurling Training

3rd and 4th class have been training for Hurling. On Tuesdays we usually go to the pitch where we meet our trainer Gerry. It is great fun! When it is raining we train at the community centre.
